Wiley “Chubby” Lauzon III
F. Wiley “Chubby” Lauzon III, 101, of Santa Fe, passed away Friday, October 31, 2025, in Webster, TX. Chubby was born June 23, 1924, in Mobile, Alabama, to F. Wiley Lauzon, Jr. and Josie Lauzon. He graduated from Ball High School in 1942. Chubby served in the United States Navy for 3 years during World War II. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the VFW, the Eagles Lodge, and a Past Exalted Ruler in the Mainland Elks. Chubby was a Machinist for Union Carbide for 37 years. He was also a longtime member of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in La Marque.
Chubby was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife Margaret E. Lauzon with over 73 ½ years of marriage; daughter Francine Farmer; grandchildren: Dylan Foster and Christopher Crutchfield; brother Leo Lauzon, Sr.; and sister Mary Margaret Moreland.
He is survived by a daughter Shelly Foster, of Santa Fe; grandchildren: Tristan Foster, Shelby Foster, Carlos Crutchfield and Elessa Lara Crutchfield; and great grandchildren: Taylor Duncan, Hollie Foster and Erin Crutchfield.
A visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at James Crowder Funeral Home, La Marque. A service will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Galveston Memorial Park, Hitchcock, Texas.
