Wesley Edward Gallop, Sr.

In loving Memory of
Wesley Edward Gallop, Sr.
December 21, 1950 – April 3, 2026

Pipelinner, fisherman, hunter, beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, protector and friend went to eternal rest on Good Friday, April 3rd, 2026.

Wesley spent his days in constant motion. Born in Wewoka, Oklahoma to his days in Woodville, Texas. He was an aggressive worker. Always felt like he was running out of time. If not at work on a pipeline job, then he worked around the house. He was assisted by his faithful dog, Lena, while he worked tirelessly from sunup to sun down.

Work and friends guided him daily in his pursuit of fulfilling his life purpose. Family meant the most to Wesley, he fiercely protected them.

Wesley began his pipeline career under the tutelage of his father, William Gallop. He began as a laborer, swamping on backhoes until he was promoted to the seat. He continued to become a straw boss in the field and eventually a superintendent . He moved up into the position of pipeline inspection, but his true love was running a backhoe.

In his youth, Wesley served as an Alter Boy in the Methodist Church. He was Baptized and saved at First Baptist Church on 2-27-2000. Just recently we moved our membership to Bay Area Church in League City, Texas.

Wesley enjoyed listening to the old-time religious music daily out in his garage. This is where he witnessed to his friends, offered fellowship and thoroughly enjoyed his community.

His greatest joy revolved around hunting, fishing, and watching his granddaughter, Kirsten ride horses, Gigi in cheerleading, Lilli in dance, while the boys, Chris and Tristan played baseball. This consumed his life. In retirement, he loved spending the early mornings with his close friends working together to complete projects. He cherished his father’s BBQ pit and cooked fantastic meals on it weekly.

Wesley leaves behind to cherish his memories, his devoted and beloved wife, Penny Jo and their three children Tabbie  Rene McNeil (Patrick), Wesley Edward Gallop, Jr., & Kelly Ann Gallop (Manuel); His Sisters Jo Carol Taylor,(Janae, Rascal & Jerrod) Trissa Jane Lee( Melissa Lee Bernard( Mason Hill & Sean White), Denny Lee ( Eileen Lee, Jazmin Cruz, Jason & Amber Lee, Audrey Lee, & Emry Lee), Denise Bowley( David Bowley, Amber & Laken Bowley, Allicyn Bowley, Nick Cawthon & Lucy Cawthon Bowley) Laurie Jo Chambers( Sam, Emily and Canden Chambers) and his brother Billy Gallop (Cathy, Andrea & William); His beloved grandchildren Kirsten Jo Bissett (Ethan), Kaitlyn Ren’a Morales( Michael), Joshua McNeil, Gillian Ann Gallop, Lilli, Christian & Tristan Bermea.
