Shelby Leigh Hale
Shelby Leigh Hale, age 29, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed from this life into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father, where she is now at peace.
Shelby’s greatest joys were found in her family. She and her father, Nathan Hale, shared a bond marked by deep connection, steady support, and enduring love. Her relationship with her sister, Sydney Lamadrid, was filled with inside jokes and joyful moments, and she treasured her role as aunt to her beloved niece, Hadley Lamadrid. She was also deeply loved by her stepmother, Shannon Richards. She is now reunited in peace with her cherished mother, Renee Hale, and grandmother, Sharon Wicker (“Doughie”).
Shelby had a strong passion for finance and built her professional experience working with various car dealerships, where her dedication, intelligence, and work ethic were evident. She recently transitioned to Colonial Funeral Homes in Universal City, Texas, where she was beginning to plan a future in the funeral home business—drawn by a desire to serve others with dignity and care. Her compassion, empathy, and quiet strength made her a natural comfort to families during their most difficult moments.
Shelby had a profound love for animals, especially her beloved dog, Winston, and her one-eyed cat, Wednesday, who were constant companions and sources of comfort and joy. She found deep peace in nature and was known to take off on hiking adventures at a moment’s notice, drawn to the outdoors whenever her spirit needed it. Music was another lifelong passion, and from a young age she had an eclectic taste, appreciating a wide range of sounds and styles that reflected her curiosity and open heart. Those who knew Shelby will forever remember her charming smile and infectious laugh, which could instantly brighten a room and make others feel welcome and at ease.
Shelby’s kindness was effortless, her heart was generous, and her presence left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Though her life was far too short, her impact was immeasurable, and her memory will live on through the love she gave and the lives she touched.
Shelby is survived by a family who loved her deeply, including her father, Nathan Hale; her sister, Sydney Lamadrid; her beloved niece, Hadley Lamadrid; and her stepmother, Shannon Richards; along with her grandparents Nathan and Darla Hale, and Ronald Wicker; and other loving family members Jeff and Cathy Wicker, Trace and Mandy Torrence, Zach and Amy Hale, Wendy Hale, Dyson and Rylee Wicker, Owen, Gage and Kase Hale, and Madie Torrence.
