Roland “Joe” Hennington, 96, of Dickinson passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026 in Dickinson.  He was born on November 15, 1929 in Quitman, Mississippi to Theo and Essie Hennington.

Joe was a veteran in the United States Army Air Force.  He lived in Dickinson for two years, formerly of Texas City.  He worked as an Instrument Tech for Monsanto Chemical Company; he was a member of Highland Baptist Church and a Boy Scout Leader.

He is survived by his wife of  75 years, Verdi Jo Hennington, daughter Brenda Watts and husband Marc, sons; Mike Hennington and wife Diane, Steve Hennington and wife Candace,  Dan Hennington and wife Laurie, nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren with one on the way.

A graveside service will be at 1:00pm on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, Louisiana with Pastor John Simmons officiating.
