Robert Flores
In honor of a long life lived to the fullest here on Earth, another angel earned his wings after passing peacefully at home on the morning of June 18, 2025. Robert Flores, 89, of Galveston, Texas was born on April 10, 1936 to Elias and Maria Flores in Lockhart, Texas. Robert was a warm and joyful soul that brought everlasting memories filled with laughter and positivity to those lucky enough to cross paths with him.
Robert enjoyed living many years on ‘the island’ which embodied a connection to a couple of his favorite song mottos of, “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” “‘Cause every little thing gonna be alright.” Many that knew him would easily recognize the activities that he relished in as rewards to balance his hard-working mentality. He took pride in all the years of daily jogs on the beach, bike rides on the seawall, fishing by the pier, and greeting any passerby with a wave ‘hello’ while singing along to his beloved tunes surrounded by the island breeze.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, and daughter, Sandi Flores. He is survived by loved ones that are fortunate to have shared plentiful moments of love and affection over the years, including: Malee Morell, Sue Morell Reid, Lucas Reid, Yasmin Reid, Patti Morell Brasher, Michael Brasher, Natalee Brasher, Nicolas Lisperguier, Charlie Morell, Andrew Morell, and a wealth of friends and family that will continue to cherish times spent together. Arrangements are under the direction of James Crowder Funeral Home, La Marque.
