Patti Lynn Buckley
September 5, 1954 – July 4, 2025
Patti Lynn (Griffin) Buckley, 70, of Pearland, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 4th, 2025. Born on September 5th, 1954, in Galveston, Texas, Patti was the beloved daughter of Patricia and James Griffin.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Patricia and James Griffin, and her brother, Jim Griffin. She is survived by her husband of over 20 years, Patrick Buckley; her loving children, daughter Shannon Buckley (Johnathan), sons Jay Buckley and Nick Stevens; her cherished grandchildren, Johnathan Ochoa and Jacob Ochoa; her siblings Becky Cornelius, Jeanie Lampard (David), and Tom Griffin (Crystine); and numerous nieces and nephews who adored her.
A Girl Scout since the age of 8, Patti maintained lifelong friendships with her childhood troop—a testament to her loyalty and heart. She graduated from La Marque High School in 1972 and later moved to Plano, Texas where she met and then later married the love of her life, Patrick. Patti Lynn’s children and grandchildren were the center of her world. To her grandbabies, she was known as Yaya, a name she wore with pride. She poured her heart into her family and friends and her love for them was evident in everything she did. She loved cooking and enjoyed filling her home with good food and laughter. She had spent many weekends hosting family and friends, and her children’s friends – everyone was welcome. Patti Lynn never met a stranger. She had a gift for making everyone feel embraced and loved. She exuded warmth, kindness, and sunshine in all she did.
She found joy in good music, dancing, and especially the beach, where she spent countless summers at beach houses with her siblings and all their children. Those summers were filled with laughter, love, and memories that will be cherished forever.
Her belief in Jesus anchored her throughout life. We trust that she is now safe in His presence filled with peace and joy. We will forever love her 248.
