Patricia Ellen Robertson Race
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Patricia Ellen Robertson Race, 81, resident of Webster, Texas, who passed from this life unexpectedly in her home on August 25, 2025.
She was born January 21, 1944 in Soper, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of the late Walter Robertson and Ruby Wilson Robertson. Pat was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her working career was spent in the office of Admissions at Texas Tech University. In her retired life she enjoyed her involvement at Friendswood Community Center for many years.
Pat was preceded in death by her brothers James Wendell Robertson, Tommie Joe Robertson, as well as her sisters Shirley Ann Purser, Emma Ruth Mariner, and Peggy Lou Shumard.
She leaves behind a lifetime of memories, a husband of 60 years, Donnie J. Race; sister Janeva Beth Springer, brother Alven Lee Robertson; daughters, Donna Rogers and Jennifer Race Aucoin and husband Bert; grandkids Jordan Rogers Packard and husband Josh, Ashley Rogers Pitlick and husband Conner, Bailey Aucoin Hussey and husband Andrew, Joshua Aucoin and wife Meghan; great grandkids, Cash and Lucy Aucoin; grand dog Lola; great grand dogs Ruby, Cooper, Grunt, Pepper, Luna, and Cloe; grand cats Obi and Ani; and grand tortoise Fred. And hundreds of extended family, friends, and colleagues.
Those who knew Pat (and many who didn’t know her) will remember being hugged by her, her love of the Astros, the Cowboys, and George Strait. She also enjoyed playing games anywhere, anytime, with anyone that she could. She has spent the last few years traveling anywhere and everywhere. All over the United States, London, and even the Panama Canal. She loved ziplining and really wanted to jump out of an airplane to our horror. She wasn’t scared of anything and was ready for any challenge.
In her honor, a celebration of life will be held, Friday, September 12, 2025 at 10:00am in the Crowder Funeral Home Chapel, Dickinson, Texas with interment following at Houston National Cemetery, Houston, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
