Patricia Ann Hickey

In Loving Memory of Patricia Ann Hickey
July 22, 1945 – May 17, 2025

Patricia Ann Hickey, a devoted mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2025, in Pearland, Texas, at the age of 79. Born on July 22, 1945, in Houston, Texas, Patricia lived a life marked by love, compassion, and generosity.

She raised her two sons in the Southeast Houston neighborhood of Sagemont, where she made a warm and welcoming home. Patricia lived in Sagemont for over 50 years, before moving to a senior living apartment community in Pearland. There, she embraced a new chapter in life, making new friends and enjoying the community that welcomed her.

She is survived by her two loving sons, David Hickey and his wife Andrea, and Darryl Hickey and his wife Nancy Doyle. Patricia was a proud and adoring grandmother to Penelope, Katherine, and Clementine.

Patricia was known for her deep love of animals—especially dogs—who were her companions over the years, either of her own or her ‘granddogs’. Opposed to ever having a cat, she at one point gave in and adopted one. He became one of her best friends for many years. She was also a loyal and loving friend, someone who stood by those with care, compassion, and at times, strong emotions. Some of her favorite activities were sharing times with others, crossword puzzles, reading, and watching soap operas. Patricia is preceded in death by her beloved sister, Carol Wach, and brother-in-law, Richard Wach, as well as her mother, father, and stepfather.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, loyalty, and a deep commitment to both people and animals, which will continue to inspire those she held dear.

In accordance with her wishes, no memorial service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donating to an animal rescue center.
