Maria Candelaria Gonzalez, 84, a 30-year resident of Alvin, TX, went to be with the Lord on September 12th, 2025. Maria was known for her great sense of humor, her kind and loving nature, and her great love of gardening, wildlife, and animals.

She was born on February 2nd, 1941, to Concepcion and Anselmo Rodriguez in Stewart Township, TX.

Maria is preceded in death by her parents, Concepcion and Anselmo Rodriguez; daughter Amy Slayton and Caroline Gonzalez; son J.R. Gonzalez; sister Florencia Rodriguez; and brothers Frank Rodriguez, Joaquin Rodriguez, Luis Rodriguez, and Jesse Rodriguez.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years Marin Gonzalez; daughters Rosa Soliz (Ray), Anna Gonzalez (Craig Jones), Linda Soliz (Rick), Connie Gonzalez, and Hope Gonzalez (Mitch Crowder); son Robert Gonzalez; sisters Veronica Rodriguez, Dahlia Rodriguez, Sara Rodriguez, Janie Rodriguez, and Maryanne Rodriguez; brothers  Anselmo Rodriguez, Carlos Rodriguez,  Albert Rodriguez, and Martin Rodriguez; Grandchildren Edgar Gonzalez (April), Christopher Gonzalez, Frank Herrera, Amanda Soliz, Veronica Soliz, Brittany Garmon (Bryan), Jacob Binder, Steven Slaton, Sarah Garcia (Ben), Stephanie Bialobos, Christina Bialobos, Naomi Resendez (Nuno), Joseph McBride, Ashley McBride, Monica Gonzalez, Marissa Gonzalez, Joanna Gonzalez and her great number of Great Grand Children.

There will be a visitation at 11:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. on Saturday, September 20th 2025, at 2422 E. Broadway St, Pearland, Texas 77581; with a funeral service on at 1:30 P.M.
