Lucille Marie Kuhn
Lucille Marie Kuhn, 96, of Friendswood, Texas, passed away on May 22, 2025. She was born in Ottumwa, Iowa on November 22, 1928 to Ray Lleuwelyn Oughton Sr. and Lucille Victoria Darling. Lucille was a devoted homemaker and artist. She pursued her passion for art through education at Northwestern University, then Montgomery College. She excelled in painting, ceramic, and drawing. Each summer she traveled to Cloudcroft, New Mexico to attend various art classes. Her love for travel included multiple cruises around the world. She dug for opals in Australia, enjoyed pubs in England, museums in Russia, boat trips in Greece, visited the Red-Light District in Amsterdam, and helicopter rides over the Hawaiian Islands. Her family trips throughout the U.S. were epic adventures. She also loved her cat, Bitsy, her constant companion for over 20 years.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Robert Edward Kuhn. Her parents Ray Lleuwelyn Oughton Sr. and Lucille Victoria Darling. Her sister Marthana Kelly. Her brother Ray Oughton Jr.
She is survived by her daughter Sheila Coleman. Her son Richard Alan Kuhn (Marjorie). Her sister Judy Larsen. Her sister-in-law Barbara Oughton. She is also survived by her four grandchildren Jennifer Ramsey, Tracy Salvato (Mike), Aaron Kuhn, and William Edward Kuhn. And five great-children Claire, Jack, Henry, Jacob, and Cassandra.
A memorial service will be held on June 7th, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Crowder Funeral Home in Pearland located at 2422 E Broadway Street Pearland, Texas 77581
In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to the Bayou Animal Shelter in Dickinson, Texas.
