Jewell Faye Lauderdale
Jewell Faye Lauderdale (88) of Texas City, Texas passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2025, in Webster. Jewell was born October 24, 1937, in Wharton, Texas, to James and Vernelle Thompson.
Jewell was a retired Anesthesia Tech from UTMB and a bus monitor for LMISD.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two daughters: Levena Lynette Patrick and Phyllis Marie Booker. Jewell is survived by two daughters: Brenda Faye Rigsby and Vanessa Elaine Freeman; two sons: Llewellyn Keith Lauderdale and Koza Uthant Lauderdale; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A service will be held Friday, January 9, 2026 from 11:00am – 2:00pm at Greater Mount Carmel Baptist Church (2730 Oklahoma Ave., League City, Texas 77573) with Rev. Milton N. Guillory officiating.
Arrangements under the direction of the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque.

I worked with Jewel for many years at UTMB Galveston in the anesthesia department. She was always hard-working and a great inspiration to me. She always had my back no matter what and for that I will always remember her with praise and admiration. God bless you, Jewel. We will see each other again, no doubt.🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼✝️✝️✝️🫶🫶🫶
