Holly Carol Griffin
Holly Carol Griffin, 32, of Bacliff, Texas, passed away on May 12, 2025. Born on December 7, 1992, in Galveston, Texas, Holly brought light and laughter wherever she went. Her kindness, wit, and fierce love for those she held dear made a lasting impact on everyone who had the joy of knowing her.
Holly is deeply loved and remembered by her mother, Sue Swope; her dad, Scott Swope; her sister, Jessica Lawrence, and brother-in-law, Jarryd Lawrence; and her beloved niece, Madelyn Lawrence. She also leaves behind her cherished companions—her bulldog, Jack Daniels, and her cat, Bumble Mae—who were always by her side and a true part of her family.
Holly had an extraordinary way of making people feel seen, heard, and valued. She was a devoted sister, daughter, aunt, and friend, and she will be remembered for her sharp sense of humor, her compassionate spirit, and the unconditional love she gave so freely.
Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and in every shared laugh, warm hug, and moment of joy.
I was heartbroken to hear about Holly’s passing. Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts during this difficult time. Her bright spirit and warm heart touched so many, and I can only imagine how deeply she will be missed. Please reach out if I can help in any way.
Holly was one of the first adults with Heterotaxy that I met. She made a deep impression on me. It absolutely breaks my heart that she’s gone. Sending love and prayers to her family and friends
Holly was such a light in any room. I’m so sorry to hear of her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this unimaginable time. Until we see you again, Angel.
I’m blessed to have known Holly for many years. I was her teacher in elementary school at KE Little. Your correspondence with my son Matthew, when he was deployed, left a lasting impression in his life. I will miss her terribly but I’m confident knowing we’ll meet again. My prayers for her mother and sister and extended family. Till we meet again. All my love, Ms. Colson
