Harold Thomas Barnes, 88, a 24-year resident of Harker Heights TX, originally of Lancaster OH; passed away on June 27th, 2025 in Temple, TX. He was born February 1st, 1937 to Lois and Harold Barnes in Fairfield, OH. Harold served his country for 20 years in the US Army with the 101st Airborne Division, with two tours in Vietnam. Following his service with the military, Harold worked for Dow Chemical in Deer Park for 20 years until his retirement.

Harold is preceded in death by his parents Lois and Harold Barnes; his wife of 41 years Pierrette; sister Donna and brother Bill.

He is survived by his daughters Linda Barnes and Caroline Hemmes; sister Linda Thomas and husband Ralph; brothers Leon Barnes and wife Susie and Herb Barnes; sister-in-law Donna Barnes; grandchildren Christopher Barnes and wife Shawanna, Natalie Dias and husband Ronik, and Bryan Hemmes and wife Cherice; and great-grandchildren Makenzie, Hannah; Sadie, Zuri, Ronin, Brielle; Rhett, and Rhyen.

In honor of Harold, a visitation will be held on Thursday, July 3rd, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Crowder Funeral Home, 2422 Broadway St., Pearland, TX 77581. Funeral service to be held at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Gulf Fwy Dickinson, TX 77539.
