Gloria Ann Mays

Gloria Ann Mays, 75, of League City, Texas went to be with her Heavenly Father on July 22, 2025.
Gloria was born on October 29, 1949, to Leon and Mary Alice Grant in Griffin, Georgia. She grew up in a loving home with her cherished grandparents, Ernest and Alice McLean and her aunt Lily Runell McLean.
Gloria married the love of her life, Tommy Lynn Mays, Sr., on June 30, 1967. They celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary this year.
Gloria attended all her school years in Griffin and graduated from Griffin High School in 1967.
Tommy and Gloria lived in Griffin, Georgia until moving to Clear Lake City, Texas in 1978. They moved to Marble Falls, Texas in 2011 and enjoyed their time at their lake home before moving to League City, Texas in 2021.
Gloria was a devoted and loving mother and wife. Her three sons were her pride and joy. She loved to spend time with family and friends, especially on holidays. She was a talented interior designer, a great cook, and a strong woman. She leaves behind many cherished memories with her family and friends.
Gloria was proceeded in death by her grandparents Ernest and Alice McLean, her aunt Lily Runell McLean, her mother Mary Alice McLean, her brother Kenneth Wayne Grant, her sister Dianne Shurette, all of Griffin, Georgia.
Survivors include her husband, Tommy Lynn Mays, Sr. of League City, Texas, son Tommy “Tee” Mays, Jr. and wife Dawn of League City, Texas, son Mitchell Mays and wife M’Lissa Mays of Georgetown, Texas, and son Brian Mays and fiancé Mandi Ralstan of Pearland, Texas. Six grandchildren: Macy Garcia and husband Kelton of Snyder, Texas, Brian Mays, Jr. and Braden Mays of Alvin, Texas, Jadyn Mays of League City, Texas, and Trent Mays of Georgetown, Texas, Kaleb Jones and wife Candice of Clear Lake, Texas. Five great grandchildren: Kyler, Kamdyn, Kipton and Konley Garcia of Snyder, Mary-Ann and Allison Jones of Clear Lake City, Texas.
Proverbs 31:28-29 Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.”
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 11:00 am at Crowder Funeral Home in League City, Texas.
