Franklin “Frank” Theodore Polasek

Franklin “Frank” Theodore Polasek, of League City, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 in Webster, Texas at the age of 91. He was born on May 23, 1934 in Wharton, Texas to Edward and Mary Polasek.

Frank was a devoted Texas Longhorns fan, a passion that began during his years at the University of Texas at Austin in which he earned a degree in electrical engineering. He went on to earn a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Houston in 1986. His career as an engineer took him to McDonnell Douglas in Huntington Beach, California, and later to the Lockheed Martin space program in Houston, where he worked until his retirement in 1994.

Faith, family, and community were central to Frank’s life. He enjoyed all sports, but nothing brought him more joy than cheering on the University of Texas football team.

Frank was preceded in death by his mother and father, Edward and Mary Polasek and brother, Dan Polasek.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred Polasek, and their three children: Greg Polasek and his wife, Lauren; Jeff Polasek and his wife, Lori; and Lisa Polasek and her husband, Chris Molison. He was also blessed with eight grandchildren, and four great grandchildren who brought him great joy.

The Family will receive friends on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 9:30 a.m., with a Rosary at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of the Expectation Catholic Church, 1612 East Walker St., League City, Texas 77573.

Interment will follow on Monday, March 30, 2026 at 10am at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson, Texas.
