Dr. Nino Ruocco

Dr. Nino Ruocco of Houston, Texas deceased on 03 December 2025 at the age of 42. Nino was born in Agropoli, Italy on 24 November 1983 to parents Felicia D’Ambrosio and Pantaleo Ruocco of Orria, Italy. He grew up along the Cilento coast and was known by this community to be an amazing friend, devoted family member and an exemplary role model.

Nino attended the University of Federico Naples II for his B.S., M.S., the University of Münster for his Ph.D., and the University of California Santa Barbara for his post-doctoral studies and research. Nino worked for ExxonMobil starting in 2017 and was celebrating over 8 years at the company.  He loved and enjoyed his work as a senior staff product development engineer. He was celebrated as an excellent talent for Exxon and a dedicated colleague. He loved his work at Exxon and was able to travel to Belgium, Japan, Mexico and several places throughout the US for his work.

Nino married his wife Maria (Jarvis) Ruocco in a civil ceremony in September 2016 in Santa Barbara, California and celebrated the catholic marriage mass in July 2017 in Salento, Italy. He was a devoted family man, husband, friend and colleague. He will be missed by all the communities he was a cherished part of in Clear Lake, Baytown, Houston and throughout southern Italy. He is survived by his immediate family including his wife, Maria Ruocco and their dear children, Pantaleon and Carmen Ruocco – they loved and adored him deeply. Nino will forever be in their hearts and prayers. He is also survived by his loving parents, his younger brother Cristian Ruocco, his nieces Alicia and Diana Ruocco, cousins, aunts and uncles in Italy and the extended in-law family members he held so dear. Nino was a deeply loved man, who loved to travel, loved to gather with people and lived life fully.

He will be so missed and his memories cherished by all who knew him. Nino’s vigil will be on 11 December 2025 at Crowder Funeral Home in Webster, TX at 5:30 PM followed by the funeral mass at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church in Houston, TX on 12 December 2025 at 10:30 AM.
