Curtis Mason Williams

On August 27, 2025, Curtis Mason Williams, 68, of Dickinson, Texas, passed away surrounded by his sister and brother-in-law. Born on April 30, 1957, in Pasadena, Texas, to Kenneth Earl Williams, Sr. and Violet Anne Mason Williams, Curtis lived a life full of love, laughter, music, and fun.

He was a proud veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy. Curtis later followed in his father’s footsteps as a shrimper and went on to work in the refineries. He loved being on or around the water. Curtis also had a passion for music; he played guitar and occasionally joined bands in local bars. Known for his fun-loving spirit, Curtis cherished time with friends, laughter, and good company. He never passed up the chance to raise a beer and share a laugh. Curtis truly enjoyed life and now rests in peace, free from pain.

Throughout his nine-year battle with liver cancer, Curtis carried himself with courage and optimism. He always had a smile on his face, a positive attitude, and never lost his joy of life.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Kenneth Earl Williams Jr.

Curtis leaves behind to cherish his memory his sister, Pamela Williams, and husband Robert Shalek; niece, Laura Ezell, and husband Shannon; grand-nephews, Ethan, and Evan Ezell; nephew, Trace Williams; as well as extended family and friends, including his longtime friend Jackie Long, who assisted him throughout his health struggles with cancer.
