Carol Miller Alford
In Loving Memory of Carol Miller Alford
September 30, 1952 – June 10, 2025
With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Carol Miller Alford on June 10, 2025.
Carol was born in Texas City, Texas, on September 30, 1952, to her parents, Autrey and Virginia Miller. She grew up in a happy Christian home and was a lifetime resident of Dickinson, Texas. While in high school, Carol met the love of her life, Robert Alford. Together, they raised two sons and created countless cherished family memories. Some of their fondest moments were spent on camping trips—one of the family favorites was when they visited Lost Maples. The years of love and laughter will always be remembered.
Known affectionately as “Nawnaw” to her grandchildren, Carol was a safe place, a steady voice, and their biggest cheerleader. She adored her grandchildren and treasured every moment spent with them.
Carol was a friend to many—always ready to listen, offering comfort, advice, or a laugh just when it was needed most.
She owned her own home cleaning company and took great pride in her work. The families whose homes she cared for weren’t just clients—they became like family, each one holding a special place in her heart. Carol also generously volunteered her time at the Dickinson baseball park, running the concession stand for many years.
She had a deep love for cooking and baking for her family and friends, often using her mother’s recipes or others that reminded her of her mom’s cooking.
Carol leaves behind her loving husband, Robert Alford; her sons, Wade Alford and his wife, Katy, and Travis Alford and his wife, Nicole; her sister, Mary Friedrich and her husband, Randy; her brother, Donnie Miller and his wife, Cathy; five beloved grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends who will continue to treasure her memory.
In her honor, a visitation will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas.
A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. A graveside visitation is planned for 12:30 p.m. at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas.
We were so sad to hear the news of Carol’s passing. Y’all are in our thoughts and prayers.
