Barbara Ann Dixon
September 16, 1942 – June 6, 2025

Barbara Ann Dixon, age 82, of Pearland, Texas, was called home on June 6, 2025. Surrounded by her loving family, Barbara passed peacefully and is now pain-free, celebrating in Heaven with many dear ones who went before her.

Born on September 16, 1942, in Far Rockaway, New York, to Henry and Irene Lehman, Barbara was one of five children and cherished her siblings deeply throughout her life. She was a devoted mother, a loving sister, a proud grandmother and great-grandmother, and a loyal friend to many.

Barbara moved to Friendswood, Texas in the mid-1960s and raised her family in the small town she loved.  She spent much of her professional life in banking, but she will be remembered most for the care and compassion she offered to everyone around her. A true caregiver at heart, Barbara lived her life selflessly, generously, and with an enduring sense of joy and devotion to her family and friends. Her legacy is one of kindness, strength, and unwavering love—a legacy that will live on through generations.

A woman of deep faith, Barbara found strength and peace in the promises of scripture, especially in the words of Psalm 73:26: “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”

Barbara is preceded in death by her siblings Claire Ficarra and Bobby Lehman, and her beloved life partners, Marvin Dixon and Sidney Howard.

She is survived by her children: Justine Steele (David Steele, Husband); and Warren Raphael; Grandchildren: Brittany Raphael, Kyle Steele (and wife, Courtney), and Shelby Olden (and husband Ethan); Siblings: Jackie Capone and Rick Lehman; Extended family: Ted and Jerri Howard; Lori and Jim Klatt; Robert Howard; Deanna Howard, Linda VanWinkle; Grandchildren: Sydney Vernier, Avery Klatt, Justin Howard, Aspen Howard, Canyon Howard, Savannah Hunter, Thomas Howard, Morgan Matteson, Matthew Howard as well as numerous great-grandchildren who will continue to honor her memory and the values she instilled.

Barbara’s warmth, generosity, and faith-filled spirit made a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. She will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.

A Celebration of Life will be planned for a future date.
