Arthur August Krumm
Arthur August Krumm, known to his friends and family as Augie, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 in Webster, Texas. When Augie joined his heavenly Father, he was surrounded by his two loving daughters, Laura Spangle and Valerie Buchanan.
Augie was born on August 23, 1935 to Erich and Jennieve Krumm in Galveston, Texas. After high school, Augie met and married the love of his life, Nelda Krumm. The newly married couple would venture to Pennsylvania when Augie joined the U.S. Army. After the Army, Augie built his business, Marque Corporation, with Peter Popkin. The two would go on to become lifelong friends. In his spare time, Augie enjoyed playing golf, square-dancing, and weekly cards with friends. However, his greatest joy in life was his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He and Nelda had three beautiful children, Roger “Kevin” Krumm, Laura Spangle, and Valerie Buchanan. As an active member of Trinity Lutheran in La Marque, Texas and subsequently a member and regular volunteer at the Friendswood United Methodist Church, it was likely that you would see Augie at various committee meetings, shaking hands and greeting members with his signature warm smile.
He is preceded in death by his wife Nelda, son, Kevin, parents, Erich and Jennieve, siblings, Erich Jr., Sadie, and Grace, and son-in-law, Glynn. Augie is survived by his daughters; Laura Lynn Spangle (John) and Valerie Ann Buchanan, three grandchildren; Vance Everitt Goodwin (Janette), John Braxton Spangle (Jessica), and Allison Clara Williams (Evan) and eight great grandchildren, Deven, Alexis, Archer, Mason, Henley, Sage, Cadence, and Leila. He will be remembered as a man who loved his family and made the world a better place for those who knew him.
The family wishes to thank all of the caregivers and staff of The Cottages at Clear Lake and Visiting Angels Webster, TX. for their years of providing loving and supportive care.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Friendswood Methodist Church Missions.
A reception in Augie’s memory will be held on August 9, 2025, 12:00 at Friendswood Methodist Church in Wesley Hall, 110 N Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, Texas, 77546. Phone: (281) 482-7535.

I sure loved Augie! I had the honor of being one of his Visiting Angels. He was a wonderful man. We used to go around the Cottages looking for lizards through the windows, then he would beat me at Dominoes. He will be missed. God bless him and the whole family.
