Mary Jane Cargile

Mary Jane Allen Cargile (73), of Santa Fe, Texas passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 peacefully at home.  Mary Jane was born on December 13, 1952 in Fort Worth, Texas to George and Veronica Allen.

Mary Jane was a graduate of Hitchcock High School class of 1971.  After residing in Burr Ridge, Illinois and raising a family she returned to the Santa Fe area in 1989 and married Anthony Cargile on December 21st, 1991.

Mary was a house wife early on and a substitute teacher for Santa Fe ISD for several years.  Mary enjoyed hobbies such as sewing and photography.  She took many fire related photos receiving several awards.  She is a life member of Santa Fe Fire and Rescue and the Ladies Auxiliary member of the year in 2014.  She served as the Chaplain for the TFFMA Ladies Auxiliary for 10 years, a position she was so very proud to serve.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law; Barbara Ann Allen LeCompte and David E. LeCompte.  Mary Jane is survived by her husband of 34 years, Anthony “Dago” Cargile of Santa Fe, Texas, sons: Abel M. Garibaldi and partner Thelma Briseno of Los Angeles, California, Brian Garibaldi and wife Katherine of Rolling Meadows, Illinois, Charles A. “Charlie” Cargile and wife Amanda of Pearland, and James E. “Jimbo” Cargile and partner Danelle Tibaldo of Santa Fe, her sister Beverly Jean Clayton and husband Robin of Seabrook, her brother George Allen and wife Kathy of Mora, Minnesota, seven grandchildren: Anna Alexandria Burton, Hugo Maxwell Garibaldi, Harper Avery Cargile, Hudson Cargile, Everly Rose Garibaldi, Nova Rey Garibaldi and Cecily Ann Cargile, her extended family, daughter Rhonda Parish and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 from 5:00pm – 8:00pm with a Vigil at 7:00pm with Deacon Alvin Lovelady and Rosary to follow with Don LeCompte at the Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque.  Funeral Service will be at 10:30am on January 14, 2026 at the Crowder Funeral Home with Father Dominic J. Pistone, officiating.
