William Arthur Jones
William Arthur Jones, 72, resident of Dickinson, Texas, passed away on October 30, 2025. He was born on September 1, 1953 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to parents, Donald Lee Jones and Carolyn Jane (Stelzik) Jones.
William, “Bill” and his wife left Pittsburgh and moved to Clear Lake in 1981 searching for better opportunities. He began his career working for several home builders and developed a great career in sales. Unfortunately, his career was cut short after a devastating head injury in 2001.
Bill then turned his attention to his favorite pastime, restoring his 1962 corvette. He loved antique cars, especially corvettes. He attended many car shows in the area; winning 1st place many times.
He had a passion for music and was a collector of antique coronets.
William is preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind to treasure his memory, his loving wife of 47 years, Diana Lynn Jones; daughter, Valerie Cary (Chaise); son, Ryan Jones; sister, Donna Hickman; brother, Robert Jones and grandchildren, Zachary Jones, Carli Cary and Cameron Cary.
In his honor, there will be a visitation on Monday, November 10, 2025 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas. A rosary will follow at 7:00pm. A funeral mass is planned for Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at 10:00am at St. Mary of the Expectation Catholic Church in League City, Texas in the Annunciation Hall. Committal will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson, Texas.

To my long time car buddy and friend of 38 years Bill Jones.
Rest in Peace Billy, and and I”ll see you again in the next life as we again get to work on another Corvette project together.
I met Bill in September of 1987 in First Colony at Grants Lake (Sugarland) were I had a interview with Bill who was then the General Sales Manager at Pulte Homes. We hit it off immediately and Bill hired me at Pulte in New Home Sales.
One of my fond memories of Bill was when we would meet for lunch at Mr. Gatis in First Colony for their pizza buffet and Gatis always had re-runs of the Three Stooges playing in the dinning room. Billy absolutely LOVED the Three Stooges as did I also. We would do our one liner impressions of Curly and laugh together.
All my best to his wonderful wife Diane, son Ryan and daughter Valerie.
