Eva Jean Foster

Eva Jean Foster, 86, of Pearland, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025, surrounded by her children. She was born July 28, 1939, in Selma, Alabama, to Melvin and Eva Evans.

Eva is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Air Force Brigadier General Robert Foster. Her parents, Melvin and Eva Evans, and her sister, June Hackworth.

She is survived by her daughter, Teresa J. Leonard (Husband – John). Her sons, Lawrence D. Foster (Wife – Renee), and Michael D. Foster. Her grandchildren, Laura Jean Butterfras, Luke Foster, Shane Foster, Sam Foster, and her seven great-grandchildren, Brooke, Benjamin, and Bree Butterfras, Alan Foster, Ila and Bryce Nicholson, and Amelia Burton. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as extended family, Sr. Mary Rogers, Erin Nicholson (Husband Keith), and Danielle
Burton.

Eva was a passionate registered nurse. She worked at hospitals around he country as a military wife, whenever possible. She was a member of Mary Queen Catholic Church in Friendswood, and a resident of Pearland for over thirty years. She and Robert spent many happy years traveling the world and enjoying the love of family and friends. They had a shared passion for animals, particularly dogs.

There will be a private service on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Houston National Cemetery.

  1. I am so sorry that you are having to go through the terrible pain of losing your mother. No matter how old you are, you always need her and it leaves a hole in your heart. I know you a thousand wonderful memories that you can always lean on. I pray for all the best for you.
