Cheryl Diane Richardson left us to be with the lord the evening of October 6th, 2026. She passed away peacefully in her sleep.

Cheryl was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. She deeply loved her family and friends and devoted her life to others, having retired from the State of Texas Department of Health & Human services. She loved & adored her grandchildren, Kamden & Kayleigh, and her son Michael.

Cheryl was an avid gardener, bowler, and bingo lover. She could always be found in the middle of a good book or watching an Astros game.

She will be deeply missed but fondly & lovingly remembered.

Cheryl was preceeded in death by her husband, Daniel Richardson, her parents, Walter & Wanda Garland, her brother Robert Garland & her step-son Danny Richardson.

She is survived by her son, Michael Richardson, her grandson Kamden Richardson, her granddaughter Kayleigh Mckinney, her sister Reita Whiteman, her niece Kris Gastineau, her nephew Larry Garland. Also countless close friends who were blessed to know her.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2026 at 10:00AM at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock, TX.  Officiating will be Deacon Steve Mistretta.
