Marta Hull Vasquez, 87 resident of Dickinson, Texas passed away peacefully from this life into eternal rest on October 2, 2026. She was born June 15, 1939, in Brownsville, Texas to parents, Tomas Hull and Maria Hernandez Hull. She was one of 8 siblings. Marta was a loving and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Marta found joy in the simple things in life. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, gardening, and cooking for her family. She especially loved caring for and spending time with her grandchildren. Her family was the center of her world, and she took great pride in nurturing those she loved and creating special memories that will be treasured for generations to come.

Marta was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Mario Vasquez, a daughter Rosalinda Meade; a sister, Angelita Hull Rodriquez; and her brothers, Tomas, Sr., Valentin, Pioquinto, and Joe Hull all of Brownsville, Texas.

She leaves behind to treasure her memory, her devoted husband of 67 years, Guadalupe Vasquez, Sr.; daughters Maria Esmeralda Lopez (Victor), Sylvia Hurtado (Fernando), Diana Medina (Ignacio), Alicia Guerra (Francisco), Leticia Ybarra (Rudy); sons, Guadalupe Jr. (Janelle) and Miguel (Margo); sisters, Flora Hull, Irma Vasquez; brothers, Luis Hull and Pedro “Pilo” Garcia; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Marta’s loving heart, gentle spirit, and devotion to her family will be deeply missed. Though she is no longer with us, the love she gave, the memories she created, and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind will live on in the hearts of her family for generations to come. We will forever miss you, Mom.

In her honor a visitation will be held Thursday, October 8, 2026 from 11:30-12:30pm with a funeral service at 12:30pm in the Crowder Funeral Home Chapel, Dickinson, Texas. Interment immediately following at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Dickinson, Texas.
