He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Becky Gregory. He leaves behind to treasure his memory, his loving wife of 53 years, Denise St. Martin Hartman; son, Edward Franklin Hartman IV (“Ben”) and wife, Lisa Alvear and their children, Della and Mia; daughter, Jenny Stoebner and husband, Andy and their children, Emma, Jacob, Gracie, Abigail and Joshua; daughter, Lizzy Kelley and husband, Brandon and their children, Reese, Pierce, Laila and Brooks; brothers, Mike Hartman and wife, Pat and Jim Hartman and wife, Diana; sister, Lori Wrinkle and husband, Doug; and countless nieces and nephews.

In his honor, there will be a visitation on Friday, October 9, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. at St. Mary of the Expectation Catholic Church at 1612 E. Walker St. in League City, with a vigil service at 7:00 pm. There will be a funeral Mass on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at 10:00 a.m., also at St. Mary of the Expectation Catholic Church. A private burial service will take place at a later date.

Ed was known for his generosity with his time, talent and treasures. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donating to The Foundation for Hope Village or St. Mary of the Expectation Food Pantry.
