Maida Lynn Bean Clark
Maida Lynn Bean Clark, 93, of Cypress passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. She was born at home on a farm in Calhoun County, TX on January 16, 1933 to her parents Arthur Dee Bean Jr. and Evelyn Morrison Bean. She had one brother, Lt. Richard Bean Sr.
Maida started school on the farm in a one-room schoolhouse called Kamey School. She graduated from Calhoun County High School and attended Victoria College. Maida married John “Hootie” Clark and they had two children, Kenneth Clark and Ginger Boles.
She worked many years at Gene Hamon Ford in Texas City. She also worked at various times for TCISD and Rice ISD as a substitute teacher, an aide, and a volunteer.
Maida was a member of St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church and a member of St. Monica Altar Group and a Friend of the Foundation of the Future of TCISD before moving to Cypress, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 55 years, her son-in-law Kenneth Boles, her brother Lt. Richard Bean Sr, her sister-in-law Willie Bean, her niece Katherine Bean, her nephew Richard Bean Jr, and sister-in-law Sister Mary Annunciata. She is survived by her children Kenneth Clark and wife Jami, and daughter Ginger Boles, her grandchildren Melissa and Nancy Boles-Rees, Brian and Stacee Clark, Jody Berryhill, Dayna and Miguel Lopez, and Jason and Tiffany Clark. She had nine very special great grandchildren and was so proud of them and was always happy to share pictures and stories of them. They are Alyssa and Zane Clark, Addi and Hailey Clark, Camera and Xaiden Linton, Elvira Lopez, and Caden and Lex Boles-Rees. She is also survived by her nephew Frank Bean and wife Claudia of Cairo, Egypt.
Visitation will be on Thursday, October 8, 2026 from 10:00am-11:00am at the Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00am with Father Clint Ressler officiating. A Reception will be follow after the Memorial Service at Ponzini Hall in Texas City.
