Elizabeth Renee Sweeten, of Texas City, passed away Monday, August 31, 2026, at her residence. Elizabeth was born September 1, 1963, in Texas City, Texas, to Elizabeth “Libby” Waldrop Sweeten and Robert Wayne Sweeten Sr.

She spent her life in Texas City, where she built a career in bookkeeping and accounting. She also worked in the restaurant industry. Elizabeth was known for her love of reading and singing. She had a passion for gardening, canning, and cooking, and loved sharing her culinary creations with family and friends. She cherished her family and the time spent with those she loved.

Elizabeth is preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth “Libby” Waldrop Sweeten; her father, Robert Wayne Sweeten Sr.; her brother, Robert Wayne Sweeten Jr.; her son, BK Tedder III; and her long-time partner, Edgar Sanders. She is survived by her son, Christopher Wayne Tedder; her daughter-in-law, Laura Tedder; and their five children.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 5:00 PM, with a memorial service beginning at 6:00 PM at the James Crowder Funeral Home, 401 Texas Ave, La Marque, TX. with Pastor Wes Owens officiating.
