Dee Ann Perkins Alexander, born Norma R. Stallings, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at her daughter’s home in Santa Fe, Texas.

Dee’s early roots and upbringing were in Oklahoma. She later lived in Texas before moving to Worthington, Indiana, where she made her home for more than twenty years. Three years ago, she returned to Texas, where she spent her final years surrounded by family.

Dee was the biological daughter of Lela Victoria Jackson Stallings and Lee Robert Stallings and was also the beloved daughter of her adoptive parents, Francis and Kenneth Perkins.

She was preceded in death by her adoptive parents, Francis and Kenneth Perkins; her biological parents, Lela Victoria Jackson Stallings and Lee Robert Stallings; and several of her biological siblings, including Joe Dillahunty, also known as Michael Joseph Stallings.

Dee is survived by her biological siblings, Mary Esther Stallings, Lee Schulien, and David Andrew Perkins

She leaves behind her five children: Robert C. Alexander, Bryan Alexander(Patti), Darrin Alexander, Danny Alexander(Janette) , and Dawn Alexander, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her cousin, Linda Rains, and Linda’s family, who remained a meaningful part of her life.

Dee will be remembered by her family and loved ones for the life she shared with them and the many connections she made throughout her journey. Her memory will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, cousins, and extended family.
