James William Branson (47) of La Marque, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026. He was born on June 23, 1979 and raised by his loving parents Linda Faye and Jimmy Ray Grubbs. James played the clarinet in the La Marque Cougar Band and was a graduate of the La Marque High School Class of 1999. He enjoyed playing video games and was a lifetime member of the La Marque First United Methodist Church.

James is preceded in death by his father Jimmy Grubbs. He is survived by his mother Linda Grubbs.

A visitation will be held at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque on Monday, August 24, 2026 from 9:00am – 10:00am. The funeral service will begin at 10:00am on Monday, August 24, 2026 at James Crowder Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Clines officiating. Interment to follow at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock, Texas.
