Helen Joyce Fletcher

Helen Joyce (Baker) Fletcher of Webster, Texas left this life on August 10, 2026 at the age of 90.

She was born in Cordele, Texas to Betty Wells Baker and William Lorain Baker.  She enjoyed a long career in group insurance sales, spending her spare and post-retirement time traveling, making multiple trips to Europe, Spain, Switzerland and Australia with time in between earning her Associates Degree at Alvin Community College.  Her happiest times were spent entertaining and spending time with friends and family, providing a life filled with love, laughter and adventure. Up until her passing, she was a loyal contributor to the Wounded Warriors and Tunnels to Towers foundations.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Leon Fletcher, former spouse Alvin Stremmel, former spouse Robert (RJ) Cypert, her father William Lorain Baker, mother Betty Baker, sisters Melva Maresh, Ethel Moseley, Betty Ann Carroll and Virginia Calder as well as brothers Eugene Baker and Billy Ray Baker.

Her survivors include her daughter, Betty and spouse Patrick; her son, Stephen Stremmel
and spouse Claudie and her grandson Nicholas Stremmel as well as many nieces and nephews.

There will be a celebration of life on September 19, 2016 at La Brisa Mexican Bar and
Grill at 501 North Wesley Drive in League City, Texas 77573 from 1PM until 3PM providing those who knew her a chance to gather and share memories of a wonderful woman (Helen, Mom, Aunt Helen, MeMaw).
