Kenneth Mack Lutes
Kenneth Mack Lutes, of League City, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026, at his home in League City, Texas at the age of 84. He was born on June 12, 1941, in Springfield, Illinois to Glenn and Maxine Lutes.
In 1964, he married his beloved wife, “June.” They remained married for over 60 years. Throughout his career, Ken held many jobs, beginning with Amoco Oil and later working in Africa before returning home to continue a lifetime of hard work in various fields. Ken had a natural talent for building, fixing, and creating, and he could often be found in his shop bringing his latest project to life. Above all, Ken treasured time with his family and friends. He never met a stranger, had a gift for making people laugh, and always had a joke ready for anyone willing to listen. He will be remembered as a devoted father, a skilled craftsman, and a man whose kindness, humor, and larger-than-life personality touched everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lavada June Lutes, and his brother, Ron Lutes.
Kenneth is survived by his son, Troy Lutes and his wife Shannon; daughter, Tracy Wilkins and husband Dwayne; brother, Terry Lutes and wife Donna; grandchildren, Riley, Mitchell, and Tyler; and great-grandchild, Leah.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2026 at 10:00am at Crowder Funeral Home, 1645 East Main, League City, Texas 77573. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692, or at www.heart.org.
