Kathryn Hogan Skidmore
Kathryn Hogan Skidmore, 70, of Webster, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 17, 2026. She was the beloved wife of Douglas Ray Skidmore, Jr., with whom she shared 34 joyful years.
Kathy was born on December 11, 1955 in Galveston, Texas to Everett Wayne Hogan and Elaine Kenney. She graduated from Texas City High School and later earned a degree in nursing from Galveston College. Kathy dedicated 51 years of her life to the nursing profession, specializing in caring for individuals with disabilities. Her compassion, patience, and commitment touched the lives of many patients, families, and coworkers throughout her long career.
Kathy found great joy in drawing, caring for her beloved pets, and spending treasured time with family and friends. She will be remembered for her caring spirit, artistic talent, gentle heart, and unwavering love for those around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett Wayne Hogan and Elaine Kenney.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Douglas Skidmore of Webster, Texas; her sister and brother-in-law, Laura and Ray St. Clair of Texas City; nephews, Everett and Christopher St. Clair; niece, Shay St. Clair; other close loved ones Laura Lynn Pool, Karen McClellan, Amanda Vasquez, and Alec White; along with many extended family members and dear friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Crowder Funeral Home in Webster, Texas.
