Maria Alcantar, age 58, of Pearland, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2026. She was born on December 12, 1967, in Guerrero, Mexico, to Jose Guadalupe Salmeron and Modesta Rodriguez. Maria shared a beautiful and devoted marriage with her husband, Huberto Alcantar Rodriguez, since 1984, building a life filled with love, family, and treasured memories. For the past 18 years, Pearland was the place she proudly called home.

Maria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose warmth touched everyone around her. She found joy in life’s simple blessings — spending time with her family, caring for her plants, and enjoying the beauty of nature. Her garden was one of her happy places, where she lovingly cared for every flower and plant with patience and pride. Above all, Maria’s greatest happiness came from her family, who brought endless light and laughter into her life. She cherished every moment spent with them and loved them deeply.

Maria leaves behind her beloved husband of 42 years, Huberto Alcantar Rodriguez; her daughter, Erica Guerra; her son, Huberto Alcantar, Jr.; her sister, Virginia Zarate; her brother, Auner Zarate; her son-in-law, Jesus Guerra; her cherished grandchildren, Hector Guerra, Julian Guerra, and Marcos Guerra; as well as her godchildren, Deysi Pineda, Mariana Rosa and Sergio Mendoza. She also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

In honor of Maria, visitation will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., followed by a Funeral Service at 7:00 P.M. at Crowder Funeral Home.
