Asencion “John” Guadalupe Almaguer

Asencion “John” Guadalupe Almaguer, 81, of Houston, Texas, passed away on April 9th, 2026. John was born in Laredo, Texas, on July 1st, 1944, to Asencion Almaguer and Mauricia Guajardo.

John was an Army Veteran and a resident of Houston, Texas, for over 50 years. He was a faithful member of Family Worship Center and of CityRise Church in Missouri City, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Rosie; his parents, Asensión Almaguer and Mauricia Guajardo; and his brothers, Alexandro Almaguer and Antonio Almaguer.

John is survived by his daughter, Laurinda Almaguer, and his son, Adam Almaguer. His brother, David Almaguer, and wife (Elizabeth), and sister Anna Martinez. Along with sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.

John loved hunting, and his passion was supplying food to those in need and helping his local church. He was a generous giver to many ministries local and around the world. His favorite book in the bible is Psalm 91.

There will be a visitation from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 16th, 2026, at Crowder Funeral Home, 2422 E. Broadway St, Pearland, Texas 77581, with a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. a burial is to follow after the service at Houston Memorial Gardens.
