Douglas Wayne Burson, 74, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026 in Houston, Texas. He was born on October 16, 1951 in Conroe, Texas to Huey Dewitt Burson and Marion Johnson Burson.

Doug is survived by his: daughter Jennifer Burson; stepson Donnie Eason and wife Amy; sisters, Joann Meshell and Melanie Porrovecchio; brothers, Allan Burson, Homer Burson, Harvey Burson, and Joe Myrick; grandchildren, Harleigh Eason, Hayden Eason, and Harper Eason; his sweet Pomeranian, Dusty; and numerous family members and friends. He is preceded in death by the love of his life, Betty Cook Burson; his parents Huey and Marion Burson; and brother Harold Burson.

Doug attended San Jacinto Jr. College, where he majored in Electronics. He later owned and operated a successful business, APSCO Services, a fuel system service company. He was known for his intelligence and his ability to talk about a wide range of subjects. Doug was a Life Member Volunteer at The Methodist Hospital System in Houston, Texas.
