Randolph “Randy” McDaniel
Randolph “Randy” McDaniel, 82 of Algoa, Texas peacefully passed away February 11, 2026 in Nassau Bay, Texas.
Randy was born January 3, 1944, in Dallas, Texas. The son of Edward F. McDaniel and Edna Erwin McDaniel, he was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served during the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Gwendolyn Peyton McDaniel, whom he greatly cherished.
Randy is survived by his daughters, Julia Anne Bethea and Mary Ann McDaniel Younger; two step sons, Melvin Peyton and David Peyton; three grandchildren, Maya Bethea, Catelynn Younger, and McKenzie Younger; and one great-grandchild, Olivia.
He also left behind his close friends, Lief and Gail Erickson, Mike Dennis, Donna Jankowski Dennis, the Schaeffer family ~ Kayla, Zac, Sadie and Hudson, and many others.
Our kind, thoughtful, and humorous Randy was a musician, diver, surfer, pilot, professional photographer, and the co-founder of Galveston Marine Center. Additionally, Randy and his wife, Gwen, were members of the Southeast Texas Sportfishing Association.
He will be greatly missed.
At the deceased’s request, there will be no formal public services. Inurnment at the Houston National Cemetery will be in the Spring.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque.
