Rudy Garcia
Rudy Garcia, 70, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and cornerstone of his community, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones, on February 10, 2026. A resident of Dickinson, TX, Rudy lived a life defined by unwavering faith, tireless hard work, and a heart that knew no bounds.
Born in Memphis, TX, to parents Antonio Garcia, Sr. and Sofia Garza Garcia on October 20, 1955, Rudy learned the value of a hard day’s work early in life. He dedicated his career to the construction industry as a skilled cement truck driver, playing an essential role in building the foundations of his community. To Rudy, work was more than a paycheck; it was his way of providing for those he loved.
A faithful Catholic and parishioner of the Shrine of the True Cross Catholic Church in Dickinson, TX, Rudy’s life was guided by the teachings of the Church. He found strength and peace in the ‘Our Father’ and ‘Hail Mary,’ prayers that reflected his deep commitment to family and grace.
Rudy was the definition of a family-oriented man. His generosity was legendary—whether it was providing financial support, offering a shoulder to lean on, or simply being present for every milestone, his big heart was open to all. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, sharing his skill as a BBQ pitmaster, and loved watching a good game of football. He cherished every moment spent with his large family, finding his greatest joy in his roles as a loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather.
Rudy was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Esperanza Garcia, Esther Martinez, and Lydia G. Soliz; and his brother, Daniel Garcia.
He leaves behind those who will cherish special memories, treasured stories, and a lifetime of love and laughter. His legacy of generosity and strength continues through his beloved wife, Teresa Garcia, and his children from a previous marriage: daughters, Cecilia Vaughan (Todd), Andrea Graham, Dominique Shahid (Shawn), Valerie Martinez (Mark), and Gabrielle Tyree (Andrew); son, Aaron Garcia; sisters, Oralia Garcia, Sofia ‘Baba’ Garcia, Rosalinda Ochoa, Mary Helen Garcia; brothers, Antonio Garcia, Jr. and Raul Garcia; grandchildren, Nola, Reyna, Jorja, Alexis, Adisyn, Jaida, Gianna, Isla, Noah, Jordan, Levi, Christian, and Eve; as well as numerous extended family and friends—all of whom he adored.
In his honor, a visitation will be held Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00pm with a Rosary at 7:00pm in the Crowder Funeral Home Chapel, Dickinson, TX.
