Nancy Jane Doreck
Nancy Jane Doreck, 89, a longtime resident of Santa Fe, Texas, passed from this life on February 6, 2026. She was born on September 27, 1936, in Galveston, Texas, to Orlando Battistoni and Stella Retano Battistoni.
Nancy was the proud owner of Doreck’s Meat Market in Santa Fe, along with her husband, Jack Doreck, where she was well known and respected in the community. She was an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, including a member of the Altar Society and Friendship Club.
She met and married the love of her life, Jack Doreck, and together they were blessed with three children.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Jack Doreck. She leaves behind to cherish her memory; sons, John Doreck, Jr and wife, Kim and Raymond Doreck and wife, Gloria; daughter, Laurie Hadley and husband Dick; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
In her honor, a visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas. A rosary will be prayed on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Hitchcock, Texas, followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. Committal will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher Doreck, Raymond Isaac Doreck, Garrett McMullen, Chad Carner, Nick LeJeune, and Colton Matejka.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Nancy’s name to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church or Our Lady of Lourdes School.
A special thank you to caregivers Pat and Cheronda for the wonderful care given to Nancy in her final years.

We are so sorry for your loss of Nancy. We thought the world of both Nancy and Jack, and their passing have left a huge hole in our hearts.
We are unable to attend the services, but we will be thinking of you and extending our love and prayers to all your family.
Nancy will be missed so much.
