Simon Gonzales, 93, a resident of Dickinson, Texas, passed away on January 24, 2026. He was born on September 11, 1932 in Los Fresnos, Texas to parents, Rafael Gonzales and Juanita Puentes.

He retired as a custodian for Shrine of the True Cross Catholic Church.

Simon is preceded in death by his parents and son, Ronnie Gonzales. He leaves behind to treasure his memory, his loving wife, Julia Herrera Gonzales; sons, Daniel Herrera, Richard Gonzales, Manuel Gonzales, Simon Gonzales, Jr. and Gilbert Gonzales; twenty-one grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren.

In his honor, there will be a visitation on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 9:00am to 10:00am at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas. A funeral service will follow at 10:00am. Interment will be immediately after the service at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas.

Serving as pallbearers are Richard P. Gonzales, Ronnie Gonzales, Jr., Robert Anthony Gonzales, Timmie Gonzales, Robert Gonzales, Daniel Herrera Jr, Joel Renovato and Alex Sandoval.
