Phalor “Pha” Telschow, (97) of La Marque passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026 in La Marque.  She was born on December 19, 1928 to Hosea and Mary Spratling in Anson, Texas.

Pha was a lifelong resident of La Marque; a longtime member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church.  Pha retired from the US Postal Service, she was the first woman to work at the Galveston Post Office.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Gus Telschow,  son David Balfour; sisters: Bettie Lo Racca and Connie Tobleman, brother Wallace Spratling and granddaughter Khristy Balfour .Pha is survived by her daughter Brenda Beverly and husband James, daughter-in-law Kim Balfour, and three grandchildren: Cindy Flanagan, Jennifer Balfour and Brandon Balfour.

A visitation will be on Thursday, January 29, 2026 from 5:00pm-6:00pm at the Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque, with a 6:00pm service. A graveside service will be at 10:00am on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson, Texas with Msgr James Anderson officiating.
