Matthew Scott Sisson

Matthew Scott Sisson, of League City, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at his home, at the age of 59. He was born on November 17, 1966, in Jackson, Mississippi, to Donald B. Sisson and Patricia A. Sisson.

Matthew took great pride in his many executive positions in the NDE industry and was deeply dedicated to his career, truly loving what he did and going to work each day. He had a passion for fast cars and fast boats, a love for being on the water, and enjoyed traveling with his family. A very devoted Catholic, Matthew lived a life guided by his unwavering faith. Teasing was his love language, and he had a unique gift for making everyone feel like family, whether through his humor, his warmth, or the way he remembered and celebrated those around him. Matthew cherished his friendships deeply and made each person in his life feel seen, valued, and loved. He loved his dogs, especially his beloved Ziggy, enjoyed gardening, and was endlessly proud of his family, lighting up whenever he spoke of his children and of the love of his life, Megan, to whom he was married for 32 years.

Matthew was preceded in death by his parents, Patricia and Donald Sisson; his brothers, James Sisson, Donald Sisson, and John Sisson; and his daughter, Mary Elizabeth Sisson.

Matthew is survived by his wife of 32 years, Megan Sisson; his children, Libby Rowe and her husband, Taylor Rowe, Madeline Moore and her husband, Harrison Moore, and Jack Sisson; his grandchildren, Margo and Lola Rowe; and his sister, Patricia Davis.

A visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 1612 E. Walker Street, League City, Texas 77573.

Private burial will take place at a later date.

  2. Matt,

You were my best friend of all the places I lived and the many friends I have made along the path of lives journey. Living across the street from me in Cazenovia, NY.
Our families enjoyed each other very much. You were always over at my house and vise versa. My parents and sister thought the world of you. We were fortunate enough to speak to you this this Christmas as a group

I always wanted a brother and found that in you. When you were matted, more that 30 years ago, I was honored to be a groomsmen. Your father was your best man. Your brother’s Donnie and Johnny and myself were your groomsmen. You made me feel like the brother I never had.

Living a very dynamic life, you influenced all those that crossed your path. You were and are a great family man, businessman, and friend. Your devotion to God was inspiring. You will be dearly missed and will always fill a part of my heart. I look forward to coming to Houston to deliver a Eulogy for such an outstanding man.

    Rest in Peace my brother

Until we meet again, this story will continue on

  3. Matt was a true leader in the inspection and NDE industry, a mentor, and a friend. He was steadfast in his faith in God, and his love for his family shined through in everything he did.

Matt taught me so much about the business side of the inspection and NDE profession. He was always willing to share his knowledge and experience and was known as an outside of the box thinker with a deeply analytical mind. He was truly a light to those around him, deeply passionate about the work he loved, and a servant leader who consistently put others first.

Matt had a gift for making everyone feel valued, no matter their role. His guidance, integrity, and example shaped so many of us, and his legacy will continue through the lives he touched. May he rest in peace, and my prayers are with his family, friends, and all who grieve the loss of a good man, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

  8. Matthew, my friend, rest in peace. It has been a long, hard struggle these past few years, but you are now at home with your baby girl, parents and brothers. I can only smile when I think back of the 50 years of experiences that we shared. I only wish we could have had a few more. You will be missed dearly. On behalf of the entire Kendrick family, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the entire extended Sisson clan. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
