James Dickerman Dolan

James Dickerman Dolan was born on March 30, 1938 in Rawlins, Wyoming, grew up in Bairoil and Casper, Wyoming. He graduated from Natrona County High School and enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served in South Korea. Upon returning to Wyoming, he graduated from Casper College and then Arizona State University. He completed his Master’s at the University of Guam. James retired from the field of finance and construction management after numerous U.S. And international projects in Vietnam, Indonesia, Guam, Micronesia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, England, Texas and California as a senior executive. He passed away on September 18, 2025 in Webster, TX.

James is survived by his wife of 54+ years, Susan Anne Ballard Dolan and their son, Brian Patrick Dolan (Kristi, Madolyn and Patrick James); also, daughters Michele Cranston and Margus Deery (Cameron, Camie and Reese). His nephew, Thomas Geiger (Nicki) and nieces, Susan Geiger, Peggy Geiger and Mary Phillips (Christopher) also survive him. He is predeceased by his parents, Leonard and Helen Dolan and his sister, Nancy Dolan Geiger, and his daughter, Molly Anne Dolan.

James will be interred at the Valley of the Temples, Kaneohe, Hawaii at a later date.

  2. Susan, please accept our condolences for Jim’s passing. Laurie and I remember visiting you in Texas a few years back. I was not aware of Jim’s health concerns so surprised at the news. Hope you and the family are doing well in spite of the news. My brother Jim in Iowa usually notifies me of family news, but Laurie picked it up from social media. I remember Jim trying to assist Uncle Tom Fredregill with some of his attempts to develop property in east Des Moines. We have fond memories of meeting your kids, who seamed capable of bright futures.
