I would rather be riding my bike thinking about God,

than sitting in a church thinking about my bike.

  10. Robert was such a kind soul. He didn’t have an evil bone in his body. I will never forget the time I drove him to the store to buy flowers for his wedding (because I forgot to pick them up ahead of time). It was the only instance where Robert was in complete silence. His usual demeanor was bubbly & bright. He will be deeply missed.

  14. To my brother Robert, my heart aches with your passing, but is warmed by the thought of all you brought to the people around you in life. You left your mark on us, you taught us to care for each other more than we would in just a casual friendship, and you taught us the true meaning of brotherhood.
You took time to listen to each and every one of us and for that we are thankful. Your humor and smile will be missed greatly. We will miss your presence alongside us as we thunder across Texas on our bikes, but we will take comfort in the thought that you ride the golden highways on the other side of life. We love you brother

  15. Robert,
Your friendship was truly a gift to many. You had a way of making people laugh, making them feel safe and making each of them feel special. I think your constant smile was a reflection of the big heart you held inside your chest. Sonya picked a good one. We will take good care of her. I know you will continue to watch over and protect her from above. It’s been a pleasure. Ride with angels…I would say “sleep with angels” but I know God has already put you to work…I can’t imagine you not busy. 🙂

  24. My condolences to Mrs. Boardman and her family. Many happy memories of Robert be with you all. But when sadness comes, may these promises from Jehovah God help you to endure. “Do not be anxious….but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God; and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7; Isaiah 25:8 NWT.

  26. Really hard to put into words or explain all of the emotions going around with everyone these days. Sad and feeling lonely without your smile. Your glowing presence was always felt and I believe it is still here with us now. Mr. Happy, Jolly, Funny, Peaceful, Charming and Mr.Nice Guy among others. I did not know you as long as I would have liked but it was long enough to love all of your great quality’s. You never had a bad thing to say about anyone and if you did you would keep it to yourself. So much love for you brother. You will be missed by many and your great group of friends. I know I should not ask and I will never know why but this was so unreal. Sleep Well and ride free Robert. Always in our heart.

  27. Quote
    Broken Chain

We little knew the day that
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you
    But you didn’t go alone.
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
    You left us peaceful memories.
Your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you
You are always at our side.
    Our family chain is broken
    And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one
    The chain will link again.”
    End Quote”

Love you my Brother, always and forever in my heart…

  30. Robert was such an incredible human being. Honestly, I think the only people who weren’t his friends were people he hadn’t yet met. His amazing personality, undeniable charm, and extensive love for life and his fellow man truly made him a treasure in this world. He had such a way of lifting people’s spirits with merely his presence. Always ready to lend an ear or a hand to anyone in need, and always without judgment, he was a genuine friend to all of those fortunate enough to know him.

Robert – If I could talk to you today, I would tell you how much I deeply regret allowing time to get away from us all after you and Sonya moved to Laporte. We talked several times about getting together again and how much we missed hanging out and goofing off. Ha! We always think we have plenty of time to get together with the people we love, don’t we. You have reminded me just how fleeting this life really is . . . and I’m so heartfully sorry that I didn’t MAKE more time for that so much sooner. I am abundantly thankful that my life was blessed with our paths crossing in this life. Thank you for being wonderful you . . . and, most of all, for loving and accepting me exactly as I am. People like you bring out the best in others. The world could use more people like you . . . and it will certainly be a dimmer place without you in it, my friend.

Sonya – My heart aches for you. I know there is very little that can be done or said to ease your pain right now . . . but I hope you find comfort in your warm, loving, and funny memories of Robert, and in knowing just how MUCH you are loved and cared for by so many others. When times are difficult, I hope you’ll also remember that Robert is still with you, still watching over you . . . just from different place. You and both of your families are in my most sincere, heartfelt prayers. I love you, girl.
