  2. Uncle Bob was a Godly man that provided an excellent example for others to follow. In 1981 he pointed me in the right direction as he gave me refuge for a couple of months. He took me out to eat for my first “chicken fried steak” and treated me like a son. Many pleasant memories during my young life were made during the time spent in Texas with Uncle Bob that have forever made an impact. Uncle Bob will be missed greatly, but only temporarily as I plan to see him again on the streets of Glory.

  3. He was always the one person I looked for when I went to Kilgore’s. He was thoughtful, kind, and very knowledgeable on everything. It won’t be the same going into Kilgore’s!

  4. Humor and wit combined with instant word association could easily have allowed Bob to choose stand-up comedy for his avocation. As a military veteran his loyalty to God and Country was never a challenge and easily transferred to those of us who worked closely with him over the past quarter century.

  6. Bob Friday was the true meaning of a great man! I’ve known him for over 45 years and can’t say enough warm, loving things about him. He always had a smile, a big heart, great laughter and a joke or one-liner mixed in. Always kept me on my toes with what he would say next.
He loved his country and was proud to show his patriotism. He also loved his God (even way back in the early 70’s when I first met him driving the church bus). It was truly evident in how he lived his daily life and how he treated others.
I was so lucky to look to him as a Dad for fatherly advice and he happily shared his feelings and opinions! Always treating me as his daughter with love, respect and kindness!
For all the years you made me laugh and cry I thank you for the love, guidance and examples you gave me! You and Jennifer had a solid, lifetime relationship that others only dream of. Thank you for letting me be a part of your life!!!
I love and miss you so very much.

  8. Bob was a good Brother-n-Law and friend. Treated my sister Jennifer like a Queen.
I remember he and I being dared to hold hands and walk across the folyes parking lot. We did better than that we held hands and skipped across embarrassing the whole group we were with. Love ya Brother in Law.

  10. I’d only met uncle Bob briefly at a couple of family gatherings in recent years. My dad, his brother Donald, always had good stories to tell about their childhood. It’s too bad that we didn’t live closer to each other so we could get better acquainted. My wife and I send our condolences to aunt Jennifer, their children, and the rest of the family.

  11. So sad to hear of Mr. Bob’s passing today. He was my go to man when I needed help at Kilgore’s. He was always kind and I always enjoyed conversing with him. It was people like Mr. Bob that made Kilgore’s so special. Sure going to miss seeing him. Condolences to Jennifer and his family.
