Reginald Keith Davenport

davenport, r picReginald Keith Davenport, 85, of Texas City passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016 in Webster, Texas.  He was born September 11, 1930 in Lamont, Oklahoma to Byron and Lucile Davenport.  Reginald was a resident of Texas City for 10 years and was formerly of Galveston.  He was a veteran in the US Army serving in the Korean War as a Radio Operator for 8 years.  Reginald worked with Lincoln Dealership and Car Sales in Texas City, Twin City Motors of Texas City, and was a General Sales Manager for Ron Carter in Pearland before retiring in 1994.  He was a member of the VFW in Santa Fe, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; Byron and Lucile Davenport; grandparents Maude Amy O’Mealey and Clyde Ross Davenport, Vanda Thomas and Logan Myers Bridgewater. He is survived by his Ex-wife Carolyn Davenport of Texas City, Texas; daughter Tricia Sue Davenport Vela and husband Jose, III of Lake Jackson, Texas; son Michael Allen Davenport and wife Marilyn of Lakewood, Colorado; step-son Michael Mills; brother Ronald Lee Davenport of Keosaqua, Iowa; four grandchildren Marie Davenport, Paul Davenport, Elianna Gray and Trey Vela; and his care provider Modell Jones of Texas City, Texas. A visitation will be on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque, Texas.  A Graveside Service will be on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 10:00am at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock, Texas.
