Martha “Jean” Wiggins

Martha “Jean” Wiggins passed peacefully on January 18, 2018 with all her children by her side. She was born on February 28, 1938 to Doyle & Mattie Cambron in the foot hills of Piedmont, Alabama.

Jean led a full and rich life enjoying family and friends. She raised all of her children, who remember her as a kind and hardworking mother who wanted the best for her children. She was beloved by all of her grandchildren, who remember her as a patient and gentle grandmother who always let them get away with just a little bit more than their parents would’ve liked. Jean was a thoughtful and generous woman who loved Lifetime movies, carrot cake, and word searches. She had a passion for ceramic painting and spent countless hours creating an impressive collection of beautiful pieces. She even won a number of awards for her ceramics, and they can be found in the homes of many who knew and loved her. Jean also had many friends whom she held very dear to her heart, and cherished playing weekly games with many of them.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Doyle & Mattie Cambron, siblings Otis Cambron & Margaret Verschoor, husband, Robert Wiggins Sr, and daughter-in-laws Debbie and Peggy Wiggins. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Debra and John Russell, son and daughter-in-law Bobby and Jenny Wiggins, son and daughter-in-law David and Robin Wiggins, daughter and son-in-law Betty and Mike Squyres, son Joe Wiggins, and her loving niece and husband Peggy and Roger Vascocu. She adored all of her grandchildren, Jeramey and Amanda Wiggins, Paige Squyres, Logan Squyres, Wyatt Wiggins, Jesse Wiggins, Kendal Wiggins, Katelin Wiggins, Micah Matlock, Katie Perry, and Sierra Vascocu

A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 9am with a service following at 10am at Crowder Funeral Home, 111 E. Medical Center Blvd., Webster, TX 77598. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her memory to the American Lung Association. A fund has been set up and can be found at www.action.lung.org/goto/JeanWiggins
