  10. I knew of Jasmine only through her father’s stories, but I came to love her wit and playfulness, and so deeply respect her incredible drive, independence and determination. She was a beautiful soul and I so wish I had had a chance to know her more completely. I hope all who loved her can find solace in memories of her amazing spirit.

  13. All the anecdotes and humorous memories retold at the memorial service echoed my first impressions 12 years ago of a young Jasmine when I initially met her and I earmarked in my heart what an energetic and feeling human being that was developing in that persona. Though young she left us, “classic” will be her legacy.

  16. I had her in my senior English class.
I came about this page through ways of memories, and I began recalling names- curiously drifting from profile to profile. Finally, I remembered a girl named Jasmine. Suffice to say, it landed me here.
I just felt a heavy blow to my heart, no one should go this soon.
Jasmine would banter with the table, showing off her new tattoos and generally being a worthwhile presence. She talked about her job a lot, Freebirds! That was a major theme in the microcosm of that table, young adults discovering the world, plunging head first into jobs and renting apartments, ( though that didn’t save her from my teasing whenever she brought up her work). I quietly understood people and their demeanor. I found a tragic coolness about Jasmine, someone who was more independent than I, though younger, who seemed to reach further and made genuine connections with more people. I only knew her so little, and my impressions of her are fragmented and thin, but I feel the weight of this tragedy all the same.
It’s very difficult to comprehend that someone from such a fresh memory is no more, It’s humbling and destroying.
I hope she has found peace in the ruins of time.
