Don Clayton Parker

 Don Clayton Parker, 54, a lifelong resident of Houston, TX was born February 9th 1963 to Jerry Burns Parker and Donell Woodruff Parker.

Don went to be with the Lord on April 26th 2017.  He attended Milby High School, Class of 1983.  Don proudly served his country in the United States Navy; he went on to complete his Associate of Arts degree and attended Barber College where he practiced his craft for 35 years.

Don was extremely intelligent with a heart of gold.  He absolutely loved to read, watch movies and most importantly he loved the Lord.  He was passionate about visiting and ministering to the less fortunate.  He was a member of the First United Methodist Church; he later converted to the Catholic faith.

Don is preceded in death by paternal grandparents: Clayton Charles Parker and Lucille Burns Parker (Mama);  maternal grandparents Don Beck Woodruff and Mary Wheelock Woodruff.

He is survived by his parents Jerry and Donell Parker; children: one son, Adrian Ibarra Parker, wife Julie and one daughter, Jessica Michelle Parker; grandchildren Marshall Gonzales, Maverick Gonzales and Pierce Parker; sisters Alicia Harris and Annelle Holden, husband Kurt; nieces and nephews Lindsay Harris, Clay Holden, Kyle Holden, Kate Holden and Abigail Holden.

The family will hold a private burial at a later date in Gilmer, Texas.
