Delores “Dee” Dillon

Delores “Dee” Dillon, 68, of Webster passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017.  She was born on November 30, 1948 to Joe and Leona Mangum in Galveston, Texas.  Dee was formerly of Hitchcock.

She graduated from Hitchcock High School Class of 1967 and attended Franklin Beauty School in 1968 and was a Beautician.  Dee was a member of the Galilee Baptist Church.  She worked as a Dispatcher with La Marque Police Department, starting on 11/1/1976 and retired on 4/30/2010.  After retiring she started work at Turning Point Church in League City.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Delcenia Branch and her three brothers; Joe Mangum Jr., Sam Henry Mangum and Donald Ray Mangum Sr.

Dee is survived by her son, Victor J. Mangum of Galveston, two sisters: Darlene Mangum of Fresno and Gloria Mangum Jackson of Houston; three brothers: Randle Mangum of Houston, Richard Mangum and wife Darolyn of La Marque and Kevin J. Mangum Sr. and wife Katherine of Friendswood; sisters-in-law; Mary Mangum Malveaux and Ellen Mangum, Elizabeth Mangum and numerous nieces, nephews, god-children, other relatives and friends.

Dee is also survived by her special friends: Janet M. Solis, Leo Solis, Charlene Warren, Debby Kittredge, Richard Price and Kirk Jackson.

A visitation will be on Friday, August 11, 2017 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at the James Crowder Funeral Home, 851 FM 517 Dickinson, Texas.  Funeral Service will be at 12:00Noon on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Abundant Life Christian Center, 601 Delaney St. La Marque, TX.  Burial will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Kevin J. Mangum Sr., Leo Solis, Kevin J. Mangum Jr., Kaison Mangum Sr., Donald Mangum Jr., and Daniel Martinez.

    I had the pleasure of working with her back at Babies R us and at Ross very grateful of her friendship. Ms. Dee will be truely missed.
